Hello

So what's happening here?

We have our new cooker, but it's stood in the dining area not plugged in our anything whilst we figure out what to do with the worktop, which for some inexplicable reason was only cut to a slimline gap when the cupboards below were stopped at the standard 60cm gap.

I have tried jigsawing, but that was too awkward and wasn't really working (may be my inexperience with jigsaws but who knows). So I tried sawing but that is also awkward due to the angle that the saw has to be at. It may be possible. We have also tried removing the worktop but it "steadfastly refuses to be moved", a response that you might have gotten from an old text adventure if you tried to remove part of the background.

A fence man has been. He's going to send us a quote for the double backed fency stuff. His firm only replace the whole job lot, they wont work around what is already there, so we shall see.

We need a man to come round and repair our fascia.

We need a man to come round and check that there is an earth coming from our consumer unit as I cannot see one.

We will eventually need a man to come and stick the cooker in, though i think that the electrics might be a problem as the cooker circuit is currently providing a plug behind a set of draws rather than just allowing a wire for to plug into the back of the cooker.

And I think that's all my moans just now. :D

How's your days going?
